being a kickballer!

I am currently a Brews Balls and Dolls team memeber. I joined the BBD team to meet new people, drink some beers and meet some fun people! I have a unique team. One team member is my dear college friend Remi the others are a hodgepoge of people from different careers and walks of life. There is a serious couple who recently bought a house together, a group of co-workers, and a couple of girls who love to party and bring a lot of attention when they walk into the room! It looks like it is going to be a fun fall season of kickball!

My first game was last Thursday at Sac City Junior College. Remi played the first game on the 18th, but I was sick and missed it. This week though I was here to play and get down with the big rubber ball! I was in the line up, the 12th person to kick and I was going to be the catcher for the 4th and 5th inning. Wow! I was so worried about kicking, I didn't practice and I had no idea what to do to be the catcher. But you know what? I did it, I kicked and ran to first base, but was receive an out. And I did a great job being the catcher and learned a thing or two about kickball. Here's to being a kickballer and to my future wish of playing outfield! By the way, we lost to the number one team IheartBalls 7-0. But that doesn't matter, I had fun and tried something new and exciting!

being...28

Today is the first day of being 28. That sounds very interesting...28. I am closer to 30. Now that sounds interesting too! I can't believe I am going to be on the countdown to being 30! That is baffeling! I don't think that 30 is an ominous age, I think it is the things that I have accomplished up to now. I know that I have a few more things that I want to accomplish and discover before I hit the fabulous age of 30. Not that the world shall come to the end when I hit 30, like everyone thought the world would end when the year 2000 came. I would like to say I did these things so far in my life. And now I am moving on to this other part in my life! Cheers to 28! And my future conquests!
